Cordoba is a guitar-dominated outfit that also produces some of the most well-made ukes on the market for whatever levels. Proof of their excellence is the fact that they are endorsed by modern day uke players and musical enthusiasts in general.
The Protege uses gear tuners which allow the ukulele to stay reasonably stay in tune. There should be few issues when it comes to intonation and tone. Playing near the upper side of the neck poses small problems as well. Aquila Nylgut is the preferred strings used in this ukulele.
This uke is great overall considering its price range. The playability matches that of ukes twice the price. It has a very nice, warm, and sustained sound that should benefit beginners and even experts.
